Abstract:

In this paper, the modelling of an electrostatic precipitator and its essential factors is investigated. This ESP is designed to use in plant exhaust treating and to collect soot particle from gas flow. The ESP is consists of a corona wire as a high voltage electrode, some collecting plate located between the wires as a earth electrode, and a DC power supply with 50 kV maximum voltage. The gas flow is filtered when is passed from corona zone and is collected soot particle of it due to particles charging. Finally, the dimensional, electrical and fluidity parameters of system is investigated and is obtained as a function of applied voltage, gas flow rate and collector area. The results were presented as figures.
