Study surface water pollution effects on groundwater pollution (Case study: southern coasts of Caspian Sea)

Abstract:

Science many years ago groundwater resources were used as a clean water resource for human. In recent decades population increasment and industrial-social activities besides environmental difficulties have important roles in groundwater pollution. Urban and industrial wastewaters are one of the contaminant resources of groundwater that enter in the ground directly or infiltrate from septic tanks. In this research forty years static’s and tests of water quality in association with TDS, PH, EC, ca, mg, cl, Hco 3 was used for investigation surface water quality effects on groundwater quality and well sۥ water in southern coast of Caspian sea. Then surface water quality effects on groundwater pollution investigate by regression analysis. Results show that there is a meaningful relation between surface water quality variation and groundwater quality.
