Abstract:

It is discussed very much over radioactive waste in the world. However, man doesn't have a answer particularly for highly-radioactive waste. Weak and medium-radioactive waste in big holes made of concrete is stored in France, if the hole is filled up to the edge, the whole is covered with clay and on this becomes trees planted. In other method becomes barrels with radioactive waste into underground storerooms made of concrete stacked and concrete then spilled and are locked with a concrete lid. In Finland becomes the concept of the thick-walled copper barrels for the permanent storage of fuel elements shone on, pursued from bentonite into granite surrounded by strong barriers. For highly-radioactive waste in underground permanent storage depot is prepared at the location yucca Mountain in the USA.
