Abstract:

The word environment is derived from an old French word “environ” means encircle. In real world everything that affects an organism during its lifetime is collectively known as environment. As a term it is very widely used and means different things to different people. It is used in management literature to refer to the external environment in which the organization functions. Ecologically, environment refers to the sum of all the external conditions and influences affecting the life and development of organisms.
