Abstract:
The use of Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUV) has been increased in marine field last years. UUV can be used in underwater repairing for offshore structures, search, rescue and hydro-graphing of ooze. For this reason, it is important to conceive and develop techniques to optimize and enhance the efficiency of these vehicles. In this research for manufacturing of a specific UUV structure, longitudinal and circumferential welding ha been considered. In order to investigate these two types of welding, finite element method has been used. The effects of external pressure on a block of UUV with longitudinal and circumferential welding lines were invesitigated by using finite elemnt simulation.
