Abstract:
In this paper a method for selecting optimal location, sizing and determining the service areas of source substations using dynamic methodology is proposed and proper objective function has been formulated. Proposed algorithm is based on gaining minimum losses and fixed costs. Cost function considers land lot and facility installation costs in HV and MV sides, and also energy and power losses costs . Our algorithm is based on a mathematical programming method and for optimization procedure Branch & Bound method is employed. The algorithm has been applied in a real energy distribution system expansion problem successfully.
