Abstract:

Flood is one of the most destructive natural disasters which bridges a lot of death and financial damages. Flood prediction and warning plays a key role in controlling reducing the flood and its damages flood is predictable to a great extent, so predicting it, and as prediction is the first step , its accuracy and timeliness can either omit or reduce the following possible aid and rescue operation. In this article the structure of flood warning systems and relevant technologies have been explained and effective factors in making an efficient flood warning system and appropriate pre-warning time have been discussed discussed, as well as relevant social factors.
