Flood in Kurdistan province with 2 flood case study and proposal a sacessive method to reduce flood hazards

Abstract:

In this paper the flood in the western part of country especially Kurdistan province was investigated. For this purpose first two main types of flood are recognized. That is floods in the wet and dry annual peiods. The cause of wet period flood is or unusual countinues of rain either coincides of rain with the mellting of snow .that run off from this condition is very high. But the second type of flood is create by the summer flash floods.this flash floods occure at a very short time and have a very fast run-off that is mixed with the stones and sands and soil and trees and has very high hazards potantially. This type of flood usualy has humman fatilities also. In the past year the Kurdistan people expernced these two flood types first at the 10-12 mars 2005. That had a very huge damage especially on the roads and bridge construction .this flood broke the Adinan Bridge near Saghez over the northwest –southwest strategic roads. In this paper the synoptic situation of that weather condition would be dicussed.second type of flood that occuerd in Kurdistan was the flood at 12 auguest 2005. This flood that accompained with great hazards is simmilar to these flash floods that is observed at the late years in the other region of my country especially in Golestan province. In this paper the socio-economic aspects and also synoptic condition of weather for this flood by the analysing the weather map is discueed.In the final part of paper a sucessive experince about this broadcasting and dissimaiting of awareness att this flood between people and manager be proposed.This method was applied for the flood of 12 Aug 2005 in Kurdistan. And has a good result on people and disaster manageres preparedness and reduction the flood hazards.
