Abstract:

A group of patients, who are unidentified, cause problems in daily routine admission and discharge processes, which ask for further consideration. If patients’s identity does not determined until discharge date, this might impose problems on judicial system and forensic medicine authorities . therefore , it’s expected that authorities take appropriate universal measures, in all of hospitals, nationwide , immediately after this patients enter the hospital . in this way , assisting patient immediate or later identification. In addition these measures would protect authorities and clinicians against potential consequences and lawsuits. In our country, until now, there were no edited manual , determining the manner in which these unidentified patients should be admitted, and it is not established that what specific measures, should be adopted by health service providing centers, in dealing with these group of patients, that prevent liability of hospitals and curtail further problems for patients. In this article while we examined this issue , we reviewed the points that must be taken into consideration, when these patients are admitted, and also a proposed proceeding designed for covering necessary issues in admission of this group of patients.
