Flood Insurance Ratio of ASEMABAD River′ Residential Buildings

Abstract:

Flood management have different methods such as structural and non-structural measures. One of this non-structural methods is flood insurance. Flood insurance distribute damages in time and place with the other methods of flood damage mitigation. Flood insurance ratio have four methods such as the specific gage method, river basin, insurance industry and regional method of flood risk.According to this research the changes of insurance ratio in different points of flood plain have investigated.Insurance ratio is considered, equal to expected annual damage (EAD).Calculations have completed in cross and longitude sections of river with HEC-RAs, HEC-GEORAS and ARCVIEW softwares. Based on results, insurance ratio amount would increase due to increasemen of water clog amount with reduction of main river channel distance and also increasement of downstream distance. With obtained equations of fit proper curves of related calculation ,ratio amounts as percentage of residential building value with measuring distance of every point of flood plain in two axis,main channel and downstream of river would be completed.
