Abstract:

in recnt decades, the occurance of mass movements, in the Ojan-chai basin (on the northeast slope of Sahand mountain) have increased by reaon of the of the physical and human factors. These events threate the cities and rural settlements. Thus, Recogmition and zonation of the susceptible area are necessary , for preventing and mitigating of mass movement damages. Therefore it is possible the development of agricultural , settlements and industrial sections. In the area of faraway the geomorphological hazards. This study try to mapping of the mass movements hazards and recognition of high hazard-low hazard regions. The zoning of mass movements hazard’s map draw by GIS (Arc/Gis and Arc/View) and Statictical Methods . the variables are slope, distance of fault , distance of stream , distance of rurale, distance of route , rainfall. Litology , geomorphology and landuse. Results this study indicated that , 35.54% of the study region is located on the medium zone-very high hazared , the point view of mass movements hazard. For the evaluation and validation of mapping, used mathematical methods.
