General method of writing earthquake risk management for universities

Abstract:

Each year as a result of different kinds of natural and manmade disasters, many people die and injure all a round the world. All of the above can cause irreparable shocks to the nation that may bring many problems to the nations for many years. These things show us that, we have to pay more attention to disaster and risk management subjects. Iran's universities are such vulnerable and valued placed in the case of scientific aspect and existence of valuable libraries, historical documents, laboratories and etc, which are exposed by different disasters such as earthquake. Despite of this fact, Iran's universities, have no planned and practical programs, in order to manage disasters and risks. This paper wants to consider disaster management- emphasizes on earth quake –in many valid universities around the world and tries to compare their activities in the way of decreasing the earthquake effects with each other. Moreover the paper is trying to divide disaster management plans in three fields of, structural, non structural and organizational and wants to present the new method for preparing risk management plans - emphasizes on earth quake - in the universities .
