Abstract:

Due to its mediterranean climate,Iran Stands Serven in the World regarding flooding and thus suffers a great deal of damages each year reducing the crisis effects requires integrating the data from several sources including topography, civil reads, constraction, and structures. In this regard. GIS along with hydraulic models are key instruments which, through modelling appropriate series of questions and answers, and some analyses, make it possible to determine and identify the flood plain and safe sites when the crisis happens. In this paper, all information layers required in the GIS environment were designed and developed, and after creating the locational data bank required parameters such as river path, cross sections, langitudinal slop of the river , banks, and flow rates were elicited and entered into the hydraulic model. After enforcing the model, its obtained results which include flood zone and depth and speed of the flow in any given point were sent into the GIS environment and were applied , in the from of a raster information layer, onto a update landuse based on satellite pictures and civil map, and through a 3-dimension simulation of the study the status of the transportation network, structures, educational-climical centers and generally different land use in the case of floodingwas determined since the results of this paper have determined the depth, zone, and speed of the flow as well as different land uses in the case of flooding, one can also determine through using different functuions in GIS environment, safe sites and educational, clinical and sevice centers which can be usd as tentative accomodation for the flood victims, can also be determined ,this can facilitate the relief operations. Furthermore, since the results from the hydraulic model render the floodgate zone, as well as depth and speed of the flow in any given point a precise estimate of the proabale damages caused by flood with different recurrence interval can be obtained.
