Abstract:

In this research the Open pit method for the north & south masses as well as the Sublevel caving method for the north mass were evaluated technically & economically. After calculating the primary capital investment & operating costs for the next years, the cash flow was build up by employing the depreciation costs and tax. In the Open pit plan the pay back period calculated as 3 yr, & 5 month, Also the NPV and rate of return determined, without tax, 151 milliards and 28%, with tax, 110 milliards and 26% respectively. In the underground plan, the results of calculation were 3yr, 11 month for the pay back period, 169 milliards for NPV and 32% for IRR, without implementation of tax and with tax the NPV and IRR were 105 milliards, 29% respectively. Although both projects were feasible, the underground plan came up with NPV and IRR greater than the Surface project. Consequently the underground plan was realized more economical than the other one.
