Abstract:

The design rainfall is a basic step for designing and measurement of different hydrolical installations and structures which is done by different methods. the first step for design floods estimation of a watershed is determination of the design rainfall pattern. Design rainfall which is producer of the design flood had different amount during it’s duration which , is known as the temporal pattern of the design rainfall. Is this research , the data of 4 synoptic rainfall stations in Kohgiloyeh & Boyerahmad province have been used determination of the tempral pattern of rainfall , using so called probality Huff method. Rainfalls of various duration lower than 30 hours were classified into 1,2,3,6,9,12,18 and 24 hours of durations, and then regional tempral pattern have been derived. In this method , storms are grouped according to whether the heaviest rainfall occurred in the first, second third or fourth quarter of the storms period. The temporal patern of rainfall have been dedived for 10 to 90% probability. The result of this method shows that : 1,2,3, and 6 hours rainfalls belongs to the seconds quartile rainfalls, 9 hours rainfalls belongs to the second and thirs quetile rainfalls, 12 and 18 hours rainfalls belongs to the third quartile rainfalls , while 24 hours rainfalls belongs to the third quartile rainfalls. In this study, 24 hour rainfalls pattern are compared whith SCS patterns. The result shows only probability type with 50% probility of second quarttle rainfalls are similar to the SCA-IA type.
