Application of soft wares in determine of riverbed and right of rivers, Case study; Shoor River (Zayandehrood basin)

Abstract:

Protection of national resources and flood disaster mitigation and protection of rivers from exceeding and establishing any authorized structures is possible with determining riverbed and right of river. In this paper, one of the method for determine floodway with period of 25 years (It's called riverbed) and right of river in according to standards of ministry of energy & power is considered. This method takes some advantage of scientific method and composing new software for increase of speed and accuracy of calculations and prepare data bank from results. The elected case for this method was 54 kilometers of Shoor river (Iran central basin, Zayandehrood basin). In order to determine riverbed, it was used soft wares with topography base (Land Desktop from Autodesk series) and hydraulic modeling (HEC-RAS). After determining riverbed, with considering social, land use and morphology studies on this river and according to existing standards, right of river in different section was determined and on this base, legal and illegal land use for riverbed and right of way was determined.
