Analysis of Flow and Sediment Characteristics in The Khair-Abad River nearly Ghale-madrese

Abstract:

Rivers are used as source of water for agriculture municipal and industrial projects. Rivers are established deep contour of topographic maps. They can not supplied water for agricultural due to steep slope. In this article, using river engineering techniques, the possibility of optimum water intake is considered in the Khair-Abad River basin nearby Ghale-Madrese. To achieve this purpose model has been applied to simulate 10 Km reach of the Khair-Abad River. Hec-Ras Both river flow characteristics and sediment transport in the river have been simulated. Base on 25 years return period, the best location of the pump station has been determined. On the other side measured flow and sediment data have been entered in the model and artificial control and normal condition due to operation of Kosar Dam and their effects on the flow and sediment characteristics have been analyzed.
