Abstract:

Watersheds shape every geography region. Therefore we should study and considerate the watershed of the region to acquire hydrologic information about geographic region. In traditional method topography map are used to determinate and specify watershed and its properties (for example the number and type of sub-basin, area and perimeter, shape, gradient and time of concentration). In this paper while describing the new method, (using GIS analytical function and DEM to determinate properties)it is compared with traditional method. The studied region in this research contains four sheet of map with 1:25000 scale and repose in upstream of extremity of Kosar watershed. Examination the geometric properties of this method are different form previous statistics as quantity of primate and area increase.
