Abstract:

Flood dispersion is one of the ways for controlling and usages of floods. The determination of suitable areas for flood dispersal towards aquifer recharge is an important stage of any project. The purpose of this research is to study efficiencies of few models such as index overlay, fuzzy logic and Boolean logic for flood dispersal. After entering different data (geomorphology, slope, Hydrologic groups)into a GIS environment various models were used to generate maps suitable areas. Existing external charts were compared with generated maps and evaluated. Finally gamma operator (0.2) in fuzzy logic method showed the most correlative with controlling fields, and among examined models the optimum model was determined for considered area.
