Abstract:

Interpolation and extrapolation methods are generally used for prediction of suspended load, regarding to lack of stations, short periods of data and vast changes of hydrologic and protection conditions of basin. In this study numbers of stations of neighbor basins were analyzed, because of lack of gauge stations in Seydon basin, and the result of this analysis was popularized for Seydon basin using an area-ratio relation. Amount of sediment of the basin was predicted using data of hydrometric stations by different methods such as Single line sediment curve method, Double line sediment curve method, Seasonal sediment curve method, Duration curve method, and adjusted sediment load method. Finally result of these methods has compared and by a comparison with PESIAC results for this basin, adjusted sediment load method has been selected as suitable method for prediction of suspended load of Seydon basin.
