Abstract:

In this paper, shallow water finite volume equations analysis for modeling the tidal flow on shore lines. In recent model continuity and momentum equations of the set of the depth averaged model are discritized using the cell vertex finite volume method suitable for the triangular unstructured meshes. With results of numerical analysis , hydraulic design parameters (vertical and horizontal speed vectors and depth) are computed in special nodes. An effect of bed slope is considered in the gravitational term of the momentum equations. Effects of bed and walls resistances are considered as global forces in the source terms of the two equations of motions. In this work , sinusial wave propagation in inlet and demping near the last slop is simulation in a flume with different bed slopes and its results are compared with experimental measurement that the other researchers did before. The effect of wetting and drying is considered in wave flow modeling.
