Abstract:

Flood is one the natural disaster which brings about numerous financial and human damages each year. Dez watershed is situated in the southwest of Iran in the 48 ° 1 0 ′ to 50 ° 2 0 ′ east longitude and 30 31 °' to 34 5 °' north latitude geographical coordinates. The area of this watershed is 17428 km2. In order to determine regional flood possibility equations in this watershed, 19 hydrometric stations data were used. After doing needed calculations, flood possibility coefficient equations of different points were computed in terms of defined return periods. At the end, in GIS environment, its maps were prepared and the equations extracted.
