Abstract:

The Determination of river bed and boundary accomplished by computational hydraulic and mathematical models. The limit of flood spreading with a known discharge is an index for dtermination of river bed in law. HEC-RAS was used for calculating and simulating steady and unseady flows in rivers. To facilitate using the results, the output was represented in GIS. This case study used 1:500 scale topography map for cross section. The bridges, buldings, … were considered and to enhance the accuracy cross-sections were surveyed at 50 meters interval which works out 44 cross-sections in the study area. Results of research mark that the sharp slope in the reach has a little effect on increasing high flood, so does roughness coefficient.
