Abstract:

Rainfall-Runoff and relationships are impacted by built environment such as watersheds. Therefore, has been estimated the peak discharge with kinematic wave model in Ziyarat watershed for period of times: 5,10,20,25,50,100,1000 and 10000 years. In this way, prepared the mathematic equation ) ( I Qpeak − for this watershed. Ziyarat watershed is south of Gorgan city in north of Iran. Its area is 98.5 km2 and be formed longed elliptic and most of its area is vegetated with jungle. The sub watersheds of Ziyarat are: Sootherood, Abshar, Sefidab, Natke, Khaloo darreh and Meydan. With IDF curves (Intention, Duration, Frequency) in high of 1500 m, for each separated rainfall with determined Intention, has been estimated the peak discharge. Conclusions are clear that, the kinematic wave model has estimated peak discharge, well. Also, in compare of experimental methods, this model gives exact conclusions.
