Abstract:

Sodality run off and flow this is surface watershed cath ments with soil erosion and transport sediment material. Therefore knowing process erosion and how transport sediment in surface basin that use in hydrology study must to be notical . the process of sediment cleaning is done on the basis of sedimentalogy information and sediment chanel and so on. Therefore quantity and quality study of sediment necessary for long time planning in water structure. Lasly use of geographical information and related soft ware program is increased in data analysis because of its accuaracy easy uss. So it had been tried to estimate the sediment in kalam river basin. By PSIAC method. After collecting and preparing basic information , it has been registered as different data layers . in arc GIS softwere and then by composing the mentiond layers, the rate of sediment in every subbasin and the whole basin has been estimated. The rate of sediment producted in every subbating has been calculated 8490/87 ton hec in every year.
