Abstract:

In tunnel excavations the main problem involved is the stabilization of the excavated sections. In such cases the ground should be first improved and then excavations be carried out. One of the methods to improve a soft soil in tunnelling is grouting. One of the methods which is independent of the type of ground is jet grouting which many experts consider efficient.This technique can be used in insitu soil and it is an ordinary geotechnical method in countries which are active in tunnelling and expansion of cities. This paper intends to introduce this technique and range of operational parameters especially for soils which can be grouted by using this method
