Using the elastic analysis in estimating of soil parameter in RESALAT highway tunnel project

Abstract:

Estimating of soil mass behavior parameter is important, around of the tunnel in road making projects. In big tunnels section of tunnels is divided to minimum sections and is excavated as part to part. Instrumentation and monitoring of soil mass is suitable analyzing site in around of first excavation sections that with using the results of suitable instrumentation and elastic analysis can had good estimating on soil mass of tunnels parameter. RESALAT highways tunnels are consist of 2 parallel tunnels with excavation diameter of 16.5 meter that distance between them is 3.5 meter and are under construction in Tehran. With looking at studies and designs, doing perfect geotechnical tests on results of doing convergence in parts of excavation of tunnel was important. This information is consists of convergence of each gallery and effect of adjacent gallery on first gallery and extensometer from surface of earth to gallery crown. Because of this procedure of excavation and erecting of first cover of this 2 gallery is done with making use of the FLAC software and back analysis of soil mass parameters, and then compared with the results of stability analysis results. The paper explains method of estimating the soil mass parameters from back analysis and gave the results of this analysis too.
