Abstract:

Bit is one part of the excavation system that is in contact with stone and transfer the energy provided with excavation system to stone and is the reason of fragmentation of the system. Diamond bit in comparing with the other kind are better in points look like: maximum speed in excavation, high age, good quality. Some kinds of diamond bits that are more useful in excavation are consist of: granular diamond, powdering stiffness, PDC, TSD. Choosing the suitable bits for excavation stiffness and attrition of stone are depended on 2 parameter that are consist of: stiffness parameter and attrition of stone. In this paper with making use of researches that done in mine engineering group in Tehran University it used SOORSHAR index and pressure reinforcement of stone as index to choosing diamond bits, in this way they do more tests on the samples from construction site of tunnels and dam. After inspecting the communication between compressive strength and SOORSHAR index the scheduling of stones in Iran done. And now they use it for choosing the suitable diamond bits.
