Abstract:

This paper gives a method to find the deformation profile of tunnel axes in the place of active fault. In the model used an advanced model in the condition that physical and geo mechanical properties of section like cohesion and elastic modulus that are decreased as a line to the center of fault are used for analysis. This problem is modeled as a 2 axial strain with making use of limited element method in PLAXIS software and then could find deformation profile of tunnel. Doing analysis is an elastic-plastic analysis that in the end can control lining flexibility in front of breaking with making use of the plastic hinge. This method is used as a base for lining design of the KOOHRANG tunnel that results are given in 2 model of available fault in the way of tunnel.
