Abstract:

In excavation of the tunnels that probably fall it used TBM or baffle. Kind of masonries in big part of GAVSHAN tunnel is falling masonry. Unfortunately because of shortage the geotechnical information and do not knowing that rock mass is falling of many part of GHAVSHAN tunnel they choose the excavation system of tunnel in open kind and this was the reason of many problems. This paper survey the tunnels that are designed with opening method TBM and then show the excavation method of GHAVSHAN tunnel that many part of that are designed with TBM method.
