Introduce of KHOOHRANG tunnel project and giving the excavation method in difference fronts

Abstract:

KOHRANG tunnel are designed for providing and transferring the water in amount of the 255 million in the year for appointment of the water of central zone for using in industry and agriculture and decreasing the volume of the water in ZAYANDEROOD dam in ISFAHAN with making use of the KOOHRANG dam. Diameter of tunnel is 4.1 meter and the hydraulic regime is under pressure. This tunnel crossing from more geology constructed and difference faults that each of them need equipment and excavation tools. This tunnel has 4 internal accessing that is the reason of the expended of excavation places. 2 kind of TBM machine are used in this excavation. This paper after introducing the project and giving the construction problems of KOHRANG tunnel then survey the excavation method in each front.
