Abstract:

This paper proposes a new topology of switched-capacitor (SC) dc-dc converter with a fewer number of power electronic switches and gate drives. In this new topology the number of switches is decreased to half in comparison with conventional SC dc-dc converter and consequently results in reduction of the converter losses and its size. On the other hand, in comparison with conventional dc-dc converters, this dc-dc converter has a high voltage gain and low electromagnetic interference (EMI), volume and weight, since it has not any inductor components which also results in highefficiency performance of this power conversion system. In addition, a simple modified control scheme has been applied to the proposed topology. The simulation results obtained from PSCAD/EMTDC software confirm the validation of this proposed configuration advantages and its control method
