Abstract:

Flooding is a natural eyent which is the effect of various factors which influence over fleod discharges changings which are as follows Climatic, morphologic, vegetation, landuse, geology, soil and human activities. Having knowledge of these factors and determining of relationship between them, we can obtain mathematical equation for the evaluation of flooding discharge in regions ungages. The complete recognition of the relationship of effective factors and models reliability would be increased, On the other hand, bg. dividing the regions of study to hydrologic homogen parts,it can also increase. For this reason we selected 23 gauges in salt lack watershed, in order to produce the most suitable models for evaluating flood hydrometry gauges and from these watersheds, 19 climatic, geologic and morphologic factors were determined. Then by using factor analysis, 6 factors were determined. These factors describe 92 percent of variations at major data. By the use of the first three factors including : area, mean height, rainy days numbers; we distinguished hydrologic homogen regions based on cluster analysis. In addition, the accuracy of homogen regions were detqrmined using discriminant analysis. By application of the method of multivariate regression together with 6 selected factors, estimated discharge models with different return periods in two different condition were introduced. Condition 1 : For the whole the area without taking into consideration homogen region. Condition 2: For the homogen region. Finally, two groups of models were obtained and then were investigated and compared.
