Rfze Climate and Shortage of Water Resources in Sabzevar

Abstract:

Climate is a variation as well as a phenomena. Iran is located between 25 to 40 degrees of longitude and most parts of the country lies in arid and semi arid zone, so water resources survey is a very important problem in Iran. The area is alluvial fan with average annual rainfall of 238.8 mm/year. The volum of water flow with 2, 5, 10 and 100 years return period are 19.76, 23.14, 29.29 and 38.68 Mm3/year respectively. The purpose of this paper is evaluation of one of the flood water projects in Sabzevar, to find the effects of flood water spreading on water resources. The primary result shows reasonably well, but more field data and research are needed for determining the robustness of the project.
