Abstract:

Since early decade 1970 suddenly depletion of amount total ozone atmospheric was observed in South Pole. Results of researches indicated that major emissions responsible for depletion of the ozone layer are chlorofluorocarbons (CFCS). Ozone is a gas in the atmosphere, which plays a critical role in blocking harmfbl ultraviolet (UV) radiation fiom reaching the Earth and depletion of the ozone layer reasons of increasing ultraviolet radiation at the low levels that currently reach the earth then it causes eye damage and skin cancer in human and can lead to serious effects on the productivity of plants, including many domestic crops and marine algae and hence on fish production. In this research, 21 ozonesonding stations are selected in different region earth and these stations placed on different latitudes fiom South Pole to North Pole. Data of total ozone fiom 1970 to 1999 in these stations are collected and quality control and are tested, then long time graph and moving average graph for 11 years are designed. At last the percent of depletion of the total ozone is computed in this time fiom beginning of depletion of ozone layer for these stations. Results show that depletion of total ozone was not only for south pole also it happened for other points, for example, Iran and especially north pole , also if one move fiom equator toward high latitudes , will observe to increasing for depletion of total ozone .
