Assesment of the effects of mineral and metalic activites on environment

Abstract:

Today the engineering matters can not be separated from the environmental aspects and every engineers or technical labor working in the mine must pay attention to recommendation and advanced methods required for production increase while observing the environmental protection aspects . The environmental aspects in mining operation has attracted the attention of experts in developing companies in recent years . but no extensive research in this area has taken Place yet , while in industrial countries , this has become an issue of day and planners of executive agencies have carried extensive research in this area and this shows the importance laid on the subject of this investigation . It is quite obvious that mining operation can have adverse effect,because only a few locations can be named that have had open mining without any damages to the environment . The present text is comprised of several sections , first the effects of minning on environment is considered , next the hnction of minerals in industy and ways for reducing the demand for them , in particular metals are raised than , the subject of changine the consumption pattern in societies are discussed , Next the effects of environmental damage caused by exploitation , processing and ore dressing of materials are looked at , and at the end the solutions and proposal for reducing the adverse environmental effects caused by mining operation is presented .
