Abstract:

In order to acustic measurement 54 points were indicated on the turbine house plant. Measurements were implimented by stationary method. Sound pressure level means when with turbinel, turbine 2 separately and turbine 1 and 2 while operating together were found to be 91.27 dBA, 90.27 dBA and 94.08, respectively. With due attention to absorption coefficient in central frequency in octave bands, economical considerations, availability and atmospheric condoitions, galss wool was selected as the absorbant material. By using constant room (R) factor the average reduction of sound pressure level with the absorbant was then indicated. To increasing the eficiency of the absorbant materia1,application of semi infinite screen with 2.5 m in height and 25 cm in thickness was considered. The mean of sound pressure level reduction by using the absorbant and semi infinite screen together was estimated to be 30.38 dBA. Acoustical charactristics are shown in the paper.
