Abstract:

Most report indicated which workers working lor a long lime it1 mining had a plumunary discase in adition heart disease . Therefore in this study , the effect of coal mining on cleclrocardiogram time intreval was investigated in 91 workcrs in coal minning unis coal , Hojcdk , Kerman with average of 33 . 81 years. They were compared with 70 workers which were not working in mine unit but worked in saime crca wirh thc arverage of 39 . 9 . Tereafter weight , lenght , age , hlood pressure and heart rate , wcre measured and coniparahlc workers were put in same group. The electrocardiograms of these workers were compared will1 corilrols . The average of P - R time intervals in lead I and Il significantly incrcscd in comparison will) contra1 group ( P 0.0001 and P 0.01 ). The ilvcrage ORS time interval in all lead ( I , II , Ill ) showed signilica difference in two groupe ( P 0.001 , P 0.01 , P 0.001 ) . The QT time interval averagc in workers worked in mining units was nlucli longer in all Icad ( P 0.01 ) The ST time interval in both groups were identical therelore the study showed that people working in mining unit need more care and regular health check .
