Abstract:

Kiasar coal mine, located in north of Iran near Kiasar town, has been worked since 20 years ago. The methane content of the area is rather high. Since there is no a suitable ventilation system, a new ventilation system was suggested. In this new plan, the exhausting and desensional system was selected for the mine. Ventilation network of the mine was divided into main and secondary networks. The required air quantity for these networks was estimated to be 45 m3/s and 11 m3/s respectively. The total pressure loss of networks is 618.3 ma Water and 31.5 mm. Water respectively. The ventilation system of the mine was planned by handy method and contralled by MINVENT computer program The results of both methods are remarkably compatible.
