Noise Pollution Resulted from mining Operations in Saedi Mine

Abstract:

In this paper an evaluation is made on the environmental impact of mining activity , in Saeedi mine Specific emphasize made on the noise pollution and its effect on the environment adexiting measures of its conaol . In this regard an investigation is made about Saedi mine Located in Samllah t w q near the K e r n city. (Iran) The impact of noise pollution resulted from mining operation on residents are studied. To* this, sound pressure impact level is measured at around mine and Sarullah town. The results obtained shof; that the sound level in mechanized mine is under the threshold limit but in conventional stop it needs to reduce the sound level or protect personals against high sound level Meanwhile results show that the effect of blasting and machinery noise on the town area is less than the threshold limit. However, for a better understanding of people reaction it has been proposed that total effect of noise, blasting, vibration and air blast in the town area have to be in investigated in a more detail.
