Abstract:

In this paper the probability of rock burst occurrence in the levels under 2400 of Hashooni coal mine is investigated. The investigation is carried out using 5 theories and indices namely; rock stored energy index, plastic strain energy theory, rock brittleness theory tangent strain and rock mass aquality Indices, The result of the analysis showed that the probability of rock burst occurrence is medium. Based on this finding a support system comprises of rock bolt, meshing shotcreate and steel network was suggested for the support of excavations.
