Abstract:

In order to investigation of Noise exposure levels by wabco track operators in Sarcheshmeh cooper mine, dose metrics were done for 16 tracks. For these measurements dosimeter type B&K4443 was used. Due to dosimeter connected to Operators during whole working time, the recording values covered all noise that may be operator received. Comparison of measured doses with permissive value show that for 11 wabcos dose levels are higher than permissive value and for 5 wabcos dose levels are below of permissive value. For reduction of noise exposure levels in wabcos with higher level noise, at first the noise sources are determined and then control methods have been selected, The noise control and reduction methods were implemented as a insulation by spraying of PVC on the inside floor and body, network iron profiles, using the laminated acoustic felt as a absorber and covering by covered aluminum as a final layer. Also some filler has been used for sealing of doors and windows to prevent of noise entering. Usage of required absorption material has been done according their acoustic characteristics and implementation ways inside the wabco cabins. The measurement results show that after implementation of control methods, the noise levels are decreased to below of permissive value inside the cabins for all wabcos.
