Abstract:

The blowers and compressors are the main sources of noise production in outside area of new concentrator Building. These equipments that placed inside the building, products compressed air. Noise produced is coming out from the building via 3 arrays of big windows to outside area. Also there are 3 air vents in facade of building. The vents also produce the noise due to exiting of high speed and pressure air. These sources are noise pollutant of buildings and workshops that are in vicinity of concentrator building. The goal of this project is noise propagation study in mentioned area by Soundplan software and finds the best control method before any real implementation. At first for determination of contribution of sources the noise intensity of vents and windows are measured and their sound power levels calculated. Also an map with scale contains coordinates of buildings, obstacles, ground, and sources was draw for investigation area. The provided information such as map and sound power levels of sources entered to Soundplan software. After that the characteristics of building, obstacles and surfaces such as absorption coefficient and coordination defined in the software. 4 models are made in software, first is existing condition, 2nd with propose of vents controlled about 20 dBA, 3rd propose of windows controlled about 29 dBA and finally 4th with propose of vents and windows controlled together about mentioned levels. After running the models in software the results show that only control of simultaneous of sources are more effective and control of every sources individually do not cause an considerable reduction in noise at the surrounding area.
