Designing Educational Programs for Mining Environment

Abstract:

Sustainable development along with environmental considerations, are prime objectives of mining industry. Environmental drawbacks in our mining industry mainly come from lack of proper education about environmental issues. This paper, after reviewing the present status of environmental education in Iran and selected countries of the world, offer new environmental courses and study programs. Two MSc, two BSc and one AD programs have been designed to fulfill a 20 years development plan of Iran mining industry. This research also offers short courses for training of those who are working in Iran's mining industry.
