Abstract:

The etas slime is product in grinding stage of gold ore Aghdareh gold processing plant that the entrance those to plant system caused many problems for the environmental and processing sistem. Under the present operating conditions, up to 600 tones of fine clays are being recycled with the Tailing Dam return water, when the system is cleaned, and the fines clays removed from the return water then will dimmish the amount of fines clays introducing to thickener. Prom the test work completed, two suitable flocculants have selected for sedimentation of fine clays from the Pouya Zarcan Gold plant. The AQUISOL A-9314 MG is the first recommended product to try, as it gives much better compaction of the solids in the cylinder. It gives very good sedimentation rates which would be suitable for this high rate thickener. The AQUISOL A-8Q22 MG would give faster settlement rates, however the compaction of the solids is poor and this would mean more water being sent with the solids with the Tailing Dam, Also in the Tailing Dam, it would be hoped that the sedimentation of the solids would continue therefore the fiocculant giving the highest compaction should be tested first, and should give the highest volume of clean retime water. In the long term this would mean a reduced consumption of flocculant. Optimum value of pulp concentration, fiocculant and pH are 17,120 g/m and 10.5 respectively.
