Abstract:

Generally methods of mineral processing, do in aqueous phase and materials in different lines are pulp, where some times they are very dilute. It must be separated liquid phase from solid* Thickener is one equipment for solid liquid separation. By this technique, solid percentage of feed compact in underflow, (10*30) % to (50-80) % respectively. This mud transfers to darn tallifcg, Application of thickener in mineral processing flow sheet is end of line for solid liquid separation or medium line for separation of leach-liquor separation (In Bandar Abbas factory for production of yellow cake). In this factory pulp leaching transfers into CCD thickeners. The factory's ore have very clay mineral and line of crushing,, grinding, and leaching produce very fine particles. These particles create large problem in filtration method. Then, it seems that, thickener is best replacing for filter set. In this research, we used several flocculants for increase of settling velocity. After selection of best floeculent, it optimized at consumption. By these results, it calculated area of thickener, By comparing of flocculants results, Magno Floe LT-25 was benefit flocculant at 75 gr/ton. Then, diameter of thickener is 15 m. by several cleaning of pulp in thickener; it would be minimum loss of radioactive element in dam tailing.
