چکیده مقاله:

Purpose: Curcumin (CUR) could be a striking free radical scavenging molecule in ocular disease. In this study,the effects of Curcumin-loaded chitosan (CS) nanoparticles on corneal permeation was assessed. Methods: CS NPs was prepared by the ionic gelation method using CS and tripolyphosphate (TPP). Ex-vivo corneal permeation of CUR from CUR NPs / CUR loaded NPs were determined using modified side by side Franz diffusion cell. Results: Ex-vivo corneal permeation of CUR was higher from CUR loaded formulation increased significantly in comparison with CUR alone containing NPs and free CUR dispersion (p<0.05). Conclusion: Taken together, use of Curcumin-loaded Chitosan (CS) nanoparticles enhanced Ex-vivo corneal permeation
