thin film C-Si Solar Cells absorption enhancement using one dimensinal crystal

the light absorption enhancement in thin fillm crystaline silicon c-Si solar cells is investigated by one dimensinal photonic crystal. Two dimensional photonic crystal two dimensional finite element mehtod is employed to calculate electromagnetic field distribition and absorption in active layer as a function of wavelength . it is shown that the proposed structure as a drag reflector to reflect light can strongly couple incident light leads to a broad absorption enhancement.
