New Methods of Involving Parents in their Children’s Education

This article reviews the findings from research that explored the relationship between parental involvement and student achievement. The aim of this study was to show the role of parent involvement in their children’s education. And also examination of methods in which schools can involve parents in students’ education. The research overwhelmingly support conclusions that parental involvement enhances children’s academic performance. Generally, parent involvement is a strong indicator of student achievement. Of course, it is more than good attendance at school events or having a strong volunteer program. This research found that parent involvement results in more positive relationships with children, parents and school. Also it found that the effectiveness of parent involvement as a strategy for improving students’ academic achievement links to school policies
