Furthermore, this empirical study investigates the impact ofvarious types of ethical climates on employees’ perception of organizational justice. Asample of employees from Iran's banking industry is used as a study group. The resultsobtained confirm the existence of five of ethical climates of self-interest, organizationprofit, caring and benevolence, organizational rules and procedures, and laws andprocedural codes observed in western cultures in the present sample context. Amongvarious types of ethical climate found in this industry, the ethical climates of laws andprocedural codes, and organizational rules and procedures were the most highly ratedtypes, respectively, whereas the ethical climate of self-interest was the least one. Inaddition, employees stated that procedural justice is more important than distributivejustice. The results of regression analysis show that the ethical climates of organizationalrules and procedures and caring have a positive and meaningful impact on employees’perception of procedural and distributive justice, and the self-interest ethical climate wasnegatively and significantly associated with employees’ perception of procedural anddistributive justice, whereas the laws and procedural codes and organization profit do notaffect employees’ perception of procedural and distributive justice. As well, the ethicalclimates of organizational rules and procedures influence distributive justice more thanthey do procedural justice, and the caring and self-interest ethical climates have moreimpact on procedural justice than on distributive justice.
